God starts over…

scolfield_stand_black.jpgDue to the relative paucity of posts in Biblical blogdom over the past month, God has decided to retransmit his Message in hopes of spurring fresh discussion and response. The New Revised Word of God (NRWG) will be featured in the recently announced Canadian International Version Bible, which will feature the work of many notable Canucks, though in true ecumenical fashion, the first part of the transmission is being decoded by Italian sympathizer John Hobbins, whose initial work is featured here.

The NRWG, aka “Bible 3.0″, is a modern and culturally sensitive interpretation of the Revised Word of God, which served as a suitable text for over 2000 years and was itself a revision of the original Word of God, whose exact origins have been lost in the murky legends of human history. There is no word yet from the CIV publishers on what editions will be produced, though as it is now unquestionably entirely received from God himself, the entire edition is likely to be red letter.

Since Bob MacDonald is a contributor, you can be sure that the edition will contain a whole palette of colours. No word yet on which passages will be in shades of pink, and which in purple.

Man, I ripped you off, didn’t I! Well, c’est la vie. I did read this on the RSS. Anywho…
